Why did you choose to do Global?
I chose to do Global because I was looking for a challenge, wanted to become more aware of what is going on in the world around me and wanted the chance to travel.
How has Global changed you?
Global has taught me the importance of time management and has allowed me to develop skills in this area. It has also changed my perspective on life and opened my eyes to what is really important in life. I will never look at anything the same after this amazing experience.
Favourite memory?
So far, my favourite memory from this incredible semester has been walking through Matanzas, Cuba with my Cuban partner and Allie and getting to really experience Cuba and get a glimpse into what life is like for people living there.
What would you tell future Global students?
I would tell future Global students to keep on pushing and to never give up because this is the experience of a lifetime and they are extremely lucky to have this opportunity. It may not always feel like it, but you will get through it and it is definitely worth the stress!
Favourite Global quote?
"I actually got a decent amount of sleep this week!! 8 hours in total!!" -Owen Bond
Goals after Global?
I would like to continue travelling as a traveller rather than a tourist and obtain a career in the medical field that allows me to travel and help others around the world.
